Employment lawyer job in Milwaukee

The compensation is "Fame, Fortune, and Notoriety"...

Need a lawyer to help me collect on money owed to me from my employer.

I don't have a lot of money. The kind of lawyer that would take on this case should be able to take a risk. I have little money, but I have a case that could make your career based on current political climate. Obviously, I can't share details on craigslist.

If you are interested, please contact me. I'm willing to take a risk too. I don't need a huge big name attorney.

This might work out for both of us.

Thank you

Compensation: Fame, Fortune, and Notoriety

Part-time bankruptcy attorney job near Detroit

Make an extra 60 bucks a week - huzzah!

Hi,

Small out of state law firm is looking for a 1099 Associate (0-3 yrs experience) to help us with our Michigan loan modification and bankruptcy clients.

The associate will work for 2 hours per week at $30 per hour on our MI modifications (calling clients, supervising our paralegals via the loan mod software, comfort client/hand holding, consult on a potential bankruptcy) and potentially and eventually part to full-time at $30 (negotiable) per hour on the bankruptcies, short sales (and potential litigation) that result. (We can help you with all of this stuff if you have no experience :D).

The bulk of the work will come when Bankruptcies need to be filed. The associate will probably have to work on a case load of 15 (maybe a lot more) STATEWIDE MI bankruptcies per year (and probably 10 short sales). The associate would then bill our firm for all hours spent working on the (modifications and) bankruptcies including the 341 meeting, hearings and finding other attorneys per diem (per day) to attend some of the hearings and meetings.

Around 50% of our modification clients need a bankruptcy because they are underwater and need to wipe away negative equity or because they simply want to walk away without a foreclosure on their credit report and/or deficiency judgment . I assume if we move into MI the ratio will at least be the same.

Awesome way to start your own law practice or increase existing volume.

Please mention if you are licensed in other states

THANKS :)

Entry-level attorney job in North Jersey

Seems like a lot of demands and expectations for $19 an hour and no benefits...

A four attorney law firm in Mount Olive, Morris County, New Jersey, is looking for a full-time Junior Associate Attorney interested in the following areas of law: estate and tax planning, probate and trusts, and Medicaid and elder law. An interest in residential real estate transactions and business law is also useful.

Our practice areas are varied and we like our associates to have experience in multiple areas of the law. However, our firm is primarily transactional in nature, and we do not have many matters that reach the litigation stage.

Responsibilities
Drafting estate planning documents, such as Wills, Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Trust Agreements. Legal research. Preparing estate and trust accountings. High levels of client contact. Must be able to independently manage client questions and expectations. Must be able to manage between 75 to 125 cases at a time. Occasional court appearances may be necessary. Must be organized and extremely detail-oriented. We maintain a fast-paced work environment where efficiency, organization and the ability to multi-task is necessary. We value the ability to work independently and a willingness to take ownership of cases.

Experience: Minimum Requirements
If you do not meet these requirements, we will not consider your resume. Must be either (1) admitted to practice law in New Jersey or (2) must have passed the New Jersey Bar exam and eligible to be sworn in. No legal experience is expected, but 1 to 2 years experience is preferred. If you have more than 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney and you are still interested in applying, please explain in your email or cover letter why you are still interested. We will not consider your resume if you fail to provide an explanation.

Must be proficient with MS Word (any version from Word XP to Word 2003). This includes creating tables, borders, formatting text with tabs, paragraph spacings and margins, using headers, footers and page numbering, etc. Experienced with internet research using publicly-available websites. We do not maintain a Lexis or Westlaw account.

Experience: Preferred
The following experience is useful but not required. However, you must be willing to learn.
1 to 2 years of legal experience. Prepared financial accountings, tax returns, or conducted financial audits. Prepared court pleadings, specifically for Chancery and probate court matters. Experience with MS Excel. Experience with Timeslips.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay range is between $19 to $22 per hour. We do not pay a fixed salary, so how much you earn is dependent on how many hours you work. This job is intended for an entry-level attorney. We are not looking for highly experienced attorneys at this time.

Full-time, hours are flexible between 8:30 AM to 6 PM with some opportunities to work from home after the initial training period. Great opportunity if you are looking for some flexibility in your work schedule. Paid time off. Health insurance is available but we only pay 10% of the premium.
