Junior attorney in-house job in Boston
We are seeking a junior attorney with an interest in litigation to join our in-house legal team. The position answers directly to the Associate General Counsel, with the expectation that the attorney take ownership of many litigation and tenant matters. Job responsibilities are diverse, but will include:
• Responding to routine litigation and document requests, drafting motions, negotiating settlements, providing assistance to outside counsel, and making court appearances as necessary;
• Representing the company in district court and housing court on landlord/tenant matters;
• Providing counsel to staff across all departments, including property management, finance, construction, and operations;
• Handling corporate filings with the Secretary of State; and
• Assisting with real estate closings, financing transactions, residential and commercial leasing, and other transactional matters as necessary.
Some legal experience is required, with real estate knowledge a plus. Applicants should have excellent writing and communication skills, and be able to handle a large volume of assignments at one time. We are looking individuals who are available for an immediate start date.
