Entry-level personal injury lawyer job in Boston

Do you want to be a personal injury attorney? Do you want to negotiate settlements, go to court and try cases? Do you take pride in your work and expect the same of others? Do you believe that you are motivated, well organized, able to multi-task and willing to work hard to ensure your own success? If not, this job is not for you. If so, please keep reading.

We are a small Boston based personal injury firm consisting of four attorneys and four case managers. We understand aggressive representation and pushing cases forward makes clients happy, and that happy clients result in more clients, which results in more money, which will result in our happiness. We work hard. We have fun. Workdays fly by, there is never a dull moment, there is always more work to be done and we are never bored. We expect a lot to get accomplished every day, but we also know when to leave the work in the office and enjoy our lives outside of it. Our cases consist of motor vehicle collisions, premises liability accident, product liability claims, negligent security matters, dog bites, workers' compensation and SSDI.

We are looking for a newly admitted attorney to dive in and handle all aspects of litigating smaller cases for the office, mostly auto. Insurance companies have been making such unbelievably small offers that it has ceased to become fruitful to engage in lengthy pre-litigation negotiations. We have many cases on which lawsuits need to be filed. Discovery will need to be done, depositions conducted, case management conferences and pre-trial conferences attended, and, potentially, trials won. Essentially, the new attorney will be responsible for utilizing the company database and state of the art case management system to stay organized, draft all litigation materials, requests for medical records and correspondence to clients and attorneys. The new attorney will be provided with guidance and be expected to do everything to ensure that the insurance companies increase their offers and stop trying to take advantage of our injured clients.

YOU MUST BE ADMITTED TO THE MASSACHUSETTS BAR TO BE OFFERED THE POSITION. IF YOU ARE NOT ADMITTED, DO NOT APPLY.

The position is a terrific opportunity to get into courtrooms and in front of judges, establish relationships with defense attorneys, learn how to manage and push cases toward resolution, and build the solid foundation needed for a fruitful career as a trial attorney.

So, look in the mirror. If you think you are a person that would thrive in this environment, is able to work hard and long hours and be motivated to achieve, all for a relatively small salary today, but with the prospect for greatness in the future, please email your resume and cover letter. In your cover letter, please try to explain why you are well suited for the position.
  • Location: Downtown Boston
  • Compensation: The starting salary is $30,000/year
