Busy Needham law firm is seeking a full-time, entry-level associate for our successful collections practice. Primary responsibility for this position is to appear in the District Court (Civil & Small Claims) to argue cases, motions, etc. in eastern and central Massachusetts. This opportunity provides great courtroom experience and significant exposure to civil litigation. We will be relocating to Waltham in the fall due to continued growth.
The ideal candidate for this position enjoys dealing with people and is able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic and friendly while displaying a high level of professionalism. He/she should have strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Above all, you should have the ability to think on your feet.
Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of Law School with strong academic record
- Admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts
- Desire to work in the collections industry and in civil litigation
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation - automobile required
