I am a litigating attorney and require research assistance for a case against Trustees of a New York Trust Fund. The balances in the Trust fund have dissipated by 70% due to excessive distributions of principal. The beneficiary is under disability and has children. Claims for breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and excessive distributions of principal may exist.

The candidate must have trusts and estates litigation experience

I need research assistance to develop claims under the EPTL as to excessive distributions of principal and under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (one of the potential defendats is also a FINRA registered broker/dealer). A problem exists in that the Trust document permits distribution of principal. The action would be brought in White Plains Westchester County Surrogates' Court.

I need cases and statutes demonstrating liability of Trustees under these circumstances, not memos of law. Later assignments will follow to draft complaint and other pleadings.

The work can be done at home and transmitted via computer.

Location: Westchester/Putnam
Compensation: $20 per hour

Part-time litigation defense attorney job in Chicago

$30/hour. Work as an independent contractor to defend a party in an inheritance dispute.

Part Time to work on an as needed basis, but must be flexible to attend random preset dates of depositions and court appearances.

Must have experience, in order of importance: Depositions, Litigation, Probate Court, Defense of Wills, & Estates.

Experience is also necessary in filing suits, subpoenas, liens, and trial work.

Additional experience would be helpful in Trustor vs. Trustee Litigation, Corporate Shareholder Litigation, and corporate accounting balance sheets.

Residing or working in the Loop, River North, Gold Coast, Streeterville or Magnificent Mile areas would be preferred. All the work is in the loop, and travel time or expenses are not paid.
