Mortgage foreclosure attorney jobs in Salt Lake City

We're hiring contract attorneys to assist with its homeowner-defense/mortgage foreclosure-defense litigation practice. The work primarily consists of drafting complaints and motion practice related to the litigation (motions for summary judgment, oppositions to motions to dismiss, temporary restraining order/preliminary injunctions, etc.).

We have a very busy homeowner-defense practice with over 70 cases currently filed and we expect the volume to increase substantially over the next few months.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Utah and be in good standing with the Bar. Licensure in the states of Nevada, Arizona and/or California, while not required, will be helpful.

The contract rate is negotiable based upon experience and each contract attorney hired will be provided at minimum thirty billable hours per week.

Contractors may work remotely, although some presence in the office on a weekly basis will be required.

Candidates should have at least one to three years experience in civil litigation and preference will be given to applicants with experience in real property law.

Full-time employment will be offered to contract attorneys who demonstrate skill and efficiency in their contract duties. Full-time employees will be offered full health and medical benefits and quarterly bonuses and raises based upon performance.

Interested candidates should send a resume, cover letter, and two writing samples by email in response to this posting.

Location: Salt Lake City
Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience
Telecommuting is ok.
