Attorney job in Raleigh, North Carolina

Raleigh-based solo practitioner in criminal and bankruptcy law seeks energetic associate to grow practice in the Research Triangle. Currently the practice focuses almost exclusively in Wake County, but seeks to expand into other counties (Durham, Chatham, Johnston, etc.) with the potential to add office locations elsewhere in the Research Triangle.

The firm would provide backing, clients, with a base salary and the immediate potential for profit sharing.

An associate should be familiar with state District Court criminal practice and willing to learn (or already familiar with) consumer (Chapter 7 & 13) bankruptcy practice, including various consumer protection causes of action, including FDCPA, FCRA, and UDAP.

Given our client load, we are currently in the position of turning away multiple potential clients who call from counties other than Wake County and who call about bankruptcy and/or foreclosure or FDCPA issues.

We are looking to hire in early 2011 provided we identify the right person who understands or is interested in growing a small practice.

Send a PDF resume and cover letter.

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Compensation: Base salary of $3,000 plus 1/4 to 1/3rd of any profits generated by the associate over $5,000/month.
Telecommuting is ok.
