Solo Practitioner seeking attorney for entry level associate position representing landlords in NYC Housing Court. The majority of your time will be spent in court negotiating stipulations and arguing motions before a judge, drafting Preliminary Notices and Pleadings with some trial work. There is some clerical work req'd. You must be admitted or very close to admission. It's a small office with a friendly atmosphere but no formal training program.Therefore it's incumbent on you to self motivate, be eager to work and learn by watching and participating. Please don't apply if you cannot generally avoid personal texting, facebooking, web-surfing during business hours. Most court appearances will be in downtown Brooklyn but appearances in Housing Court in Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx may be req'd at a yet undetermined frequency. Compensation: $45,000.00 to start.
