Small firm with civil practice - including PI, collections, real estate - seeks entry level attorney licensed in DC and/or MD. Position will include court appearances around the metro area. Office responsibilities include document preparation, client communication.
During the week this position will involve significant time out of the office. As a result, any new lawyer in our firm will typically be working evenings and Saturdays. Reliability, commitment, judgment, and communication skills more important than class rank.
Informal office atmosphere.
Requires Bar Admission in DC and/or MD. Requires vehicle in good condition as there is significant travel to area courts and other venues. Ability to track time is very important.
90 day probationary period. After that, attorney may be subject to one-year contract with 60-day notice provision. Salary $40,000 per year. Eligible for health plan after probationary period.
