Litigation Associate: Plaintiff's side law firm seeks attorneys or recent law school graduates (0-2 years experience) with mortgage and/or real estate background to draft federal and state complaints, review files, and perform legal research. This position is a full blown litigation position and will provide invaluable experience in trial advocacy. Knowledge of secured transactions, contract law, antitrust, fraud, RESPA, TILA, the Cartwright Act, bankruptcy, the housing industry and different home loan types IS A PLUS.
Bankruptcy Associate: Seeking an associate that has FILED and CONSUMMATED Chapter 7 & 13 BK petitions. Someone who understands the exemptions and federal rules and is willing to learn how best to use BK to help our client homeowners.
Intake Associate: Seeking an associate to perform intakes and to advise potential clients how best to proceed in their respective matters. Requires a solid understanding of Litigation, different types of loans, wrongful foreclosure (Civ. Code Sec. 2923.5 et seq.), and bankruptcy (difference between Ch. 7 & 13). This position requires the ability to explain to potential clients what their remedies are.
Positions begin as 3 month full time contract positions (~$15-25/hour DOE) but will lead to full time employment for the right candidate(s), inclusive of salary, pay raises, bonuses, and other incentives.
