Contract attorney job near Portland

Small Vancouver, Washington office seeks litigation attorney with strong experience in public defense and municipal governance issues. Ideal candidates will have no less than five year of experience within the public sector with at least two of those years in the Washington courts. Knowledge of personal injury and civil rights defense is highly preferred. Must be an active member of the Washington State Bar. This ongoing, contract position is available immediately and has the potential to turn into a long-term position.

Compensation: $22+DOE.

  1. There are worse ones in the Pacific Northwest. Many of the Craigslist ads are classic "bait and switch" schemes. You interview and then two weeks later the hiring attorney calls to inform you that the firm would gladly have you on board as an unpaid intern. Attorneys have experienced this change of heart not just at solo "crap law" practices, but also for a mid-size firm and a District Attorney's Office where I applied.
