Unpaid attorney job in Manhattan

A Small Manhattan Law Office, focusing primarily on Bankruptcy, Commercial & Civil Litigation, is seeking to hire a Law School Intern. The Law Firm is Located in Downtown Manhattan near all major Courthouses and, the building for Immigration services.

The Intern will gain experience in all aspects of litigation practice, and will work directly with an Attorney. The Intern will receive training in (1) Initially evaluating all type of cases, (2) Writing correspondence, legal motions, and memos (3) Completing legal forms, (4) Interviewing clients, going to court, and (5) Legal Research.

Candidates must have excellent research and writing skills. Fluency/Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills.

This is excellent training for a new attorney, awaiting admission, law graduate or even student with little experience needing to obtain crucial experience before entering and competing in this competitive and limited market.

The Law firm can also provide academic credit under a school program as an internship, as well as a strong letter of recommendation (provided upon request and successful completion of internship).
