Position: Legal Fellow
Reports To: Legal Counsel
FLSA Status: Volunteer, Part-to-full time
The Legal Fellow will assist LEAP's Legal department by carefully examining the Company's labor and business practices to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide assistance to Legal Counsel and work with corporate management to develop and administer human resource policies, programs and services, including legal compliance, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, employee communications, and employee events.
2. Assist with detailed project plans.
3. Assist with the coordination of the Recruiter Program.
4. Other duties as assigned.
Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, Public Health or related field from an accredited academic institution.
Must possess (or be in pursuit of) Juris Doctor from an accredited academic institution.
Must possess at least one year of general office experience.
Location: Washington, D.C.
