Small General Practice law firm in Smithtown, NY. Seeking newly admitted lawyer who wants to learn all aspects of the practice of law that are not taught in Law School. Initial training will consist of trailing each of the two partners in court appearances each morning for a few months (or until competent) and working on legal and administrative matters in the afternoon.
Low salary for initial training period with steady increases to bring salary up to reasonable associate's salary. Great opportunity for the right person. Firm will pay 1/2 of medical insurance, vacation of 1 week after one year, 2 weeks after 2 years, and 3 weeks after 5 years. Looking for local person with long-term goals.
