We need an independent attorney in Dallas County to help recover a $25,000 loan we made to a friend. The attorney who was handling the case lost his bar card and disappeared and we need someone who can pick it up on the fly and get going quickly. This loan is not well documented so we are not asking for a contingency deal. We need someone reasonably clever (with a valid bar card) who will not charge us an arm and a leg. We're talking about a few hours to prepare and file an action in State Court. After that next steps will depend on what opposing counsel does.
