Supervising attorney job @ San Fran homeless organization

Small volunteer driven nonprofit legal advocacy organization,

 General Assistance Advocacy Project (GAAP) is seeking an Executive Director/Supervising Attorney. New attorneys are encouraged to apply.

GAAP serves homeless and marginally housed San Franciscans by helping them obtain the public benefits to which they are entitled. GAAP provides education, empowerment and advocacy to our clients through the involvement of law school students, undergraduates and community volunteers.

Position Description:
The Executive Director/Supervising Attorney is a four day a week, salaried position and will serve at the direction of the GAAP Board of Directors. The Executive Director/Supervising Attorney performs two main roles: 1) running the organization, including managing the long term financial and day-to-day operations, and 2) overseeing and directly providing advocacy to GAAP’s clients.

Compensation: $40,000 per year (note: the position is four days a week – GAAP is closed on Wednesdays). Medical benefits provided.
